The main menu (Figure 1-1) is the starting place for all filePro Plus operations. In the course of this tutorial, you will access all of the operations listed on the menu.

1. Press "P" or click on the ICON at your operating system prompt, then press <ENTER> to access the filePro Plus main menu.
Note: If you created an ICON during the install, click on the ICON instead of pressing "P". This will properly set your system environment.
There are two ways to select options from the main menu:
Ø Press the appropriate letter or number for the menu choice.
Example:
Press <b> for "Inquire, Update, Add". You do not have to press <RETURN> or use uppercase letters.
Ø Use the up or down arrow keys to move the highlight over the desired menu option, then press <RETURN>. When you move the highlight, a description of the option highlighted is displayed at the bottom of the screen. (You can create descriptions like these when you create your own custom menus).
